TravelSmart @ City of Nedlands

The City of Nedlands has made a commitment to the Department of Planning and Infrastructure TravelSmart initiative by employing a TravelSmart Officer to encourage the use of sustainable transport modes by community members and by adopting a  TravelSmart Action Plan. The City of Nedlands TravelSmart Officer can provide advice and assist in planning your TravelSmart trips.

TravelSmart is all about looking to change just TWO TRIPS PER WEEK from the car to walking, cycling, public transport or car pooling.

Choosing TravelSmart methods is beneficial for the environment, your health and your wallet!

Many places can be involved in promoting changes to TravelSmart methods including:

• Schools (such as the Walking School Bus)
• Workplaces
• Tertiary Institutions
• Community Groups
• Shopping Centres
• Sporting Clubs
