Stormwater runoff from the roads is drained into drainage pits on the side of the road. Please report flooding problems on 9273 3500 so that they may be remedied now before a large storm occurs in the next 5 years. All runoff entering the drainage pits will soak into the ground-water or the Swan River.

Swimming pool water should be disposed of in to your sewer connection to avoid polluting these water resources. All stormwater falling on your property should be directed to soakwells or garden beds within your property. Standards have been developed for the retention of stormwater (view the City's on-site stormwater drainage requirements).  Any runoff from private properties that is discharged on to the road is likely to cause flooding of other properties. The owners of these properties will be held liable for any damages claimed.
