What can I put in the recycling bin?

What to do if your recycling bin was not emptied.

Contact the Waste Management Customer Service number 1300 633 633 and the customer service officer will assist you in getting your bin emptied.

If your recycling bin was half emptied, it is probable that recycling (e.g. cardboard) has become lodged preventing the recyclables from falling out of the bin. It is recommended that you loosen the contents of the recycling bin (using a broom handle is a safe and effective way of doing this) before contacting the Customer service officer.

Bin repairs & replacements.

Contact the Waste Management Customer Service number 1300 633 633, the customer service officer will organise for it to be repaired or replaced, at no cost to you.

Recycling bin costs for businesses.

Businesses, Clubs and Churches who have a rubbish bin service with the City of Nedlands are entitled to a recycling bin service (240 litre bin), which is emptied on a fortnightly basis. To organise a commercial recycling service, please send a request in writing to the City of Nedlands via:
