Waste Minimisation

Each year the Council collects and disposes of approximately 8,600 tonnes of waste which is taken to landfill (this is approximately 1.1 tonnes for each residential property in Nedlands).

The following systems are available to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. These systems will not only minimise the imapct on the environment but will aslo reduce disposal costs.
