Free graffiti removal
Seen some graffiti? You can have paint or marker graffiti removed from any location within the City at no cost.
Call 1800 44 22 55 and leave a description of the graffiti and its location and the City of Nedlands will remove it free of charge. Local residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to report all graffiti tags as soon as they are seen. Quick removal of graffiti often deters further tagging. This can be arranged by lodging a report via the Office of Crime Prevention's Goodbye Graffiti website.
Be sure and report all graffiti to your local Police on 131 444 to help them investigate and prevent it in your area.
The City also carries out projects aimed at reducing or deterring graffiti including:
- Support of Constable Care puppet shows promoting respect of people and property messages;
- Community mural art projects in graffiti affected locations;
- A 24 hour, dedicated graffiti reporting number;
- Support of the WA Police Service Youth Liaison Officer who visits local schools to advise students on laws and penalties related to graffiti and other crime.

Litter Reporting
Throwing or dropping litter, even unintentionally, is an offence according to the Litter Act 1979. Dumping rubbish of any kind on any land not specified as a waste facility is also considered littering and attracts the same penalties under the Litter Act.
The Keep Australia Beautiful Council (WA) has a Litter Reporter Scheme where littering associated with vehicles can be reported.
