The City has 46 parks, gardens, reserves and bushlands totaling an area of 296.75 ha.

We are proud of the many beautiful parks, gardens, reserves, bushland and childrens areas provided for the Community and Visitors to enjoy.

There are 46 parks, gardens, reserves and bushlands in the City of Nedlands totalling an area of 296.75ha.

Exercise Areas and Facilities

The City's Parks has a range of facilities available for the community to use including exercise equipment, barbeques, picnic tables etc.

Street Trees

The City of Nedlands is widely recognised as a district of green and leafy suburbs. For a large portion of the community this characteristic is an integral part of the desirability of living in the City. Local streetscapes and the wider community benefit from street trees in a variety of ways including:
• Providing shade and protection from the elements
• Reducing glare
• Improving mental health and well-being
• Providing habitat for a diversity of fauna
• Adding moisture and oxygen to the air
• Removing carbon dioxide and other air pollutants

Nature Strip Development

The City may approve a permit for owners, occupiers or developers to develop the nature strip (verge) in front of their property.

Hall and Reserve Bookings

The City of Nedlands has a range of facilities for hire. A community hire rate is offered to local groups for occasional and regular bookings.
