Children and Young People

Children's Storytime
Stories, rhymes and fun craft activities are held each week during school term for children 2-5 years. Storytime is held at Mt Claremont Library at 10.30 am on Thursdays and at Nedlands Library at 10.30 am on Fridays.

Baby Rhyme Time
Share rhymes and songs with your baby or toddler to develop essential pre-literacy skills. Sessions are held at Nedlands Library fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10.30 am (during school terms) and are suitable for ages 0-2.

School Holiday Activities
Special events and activities are held during school holidays for primary school children. Please refer to the Calendar of Events for current library school holiday activities.

Adults and Seniors

Subjects of Note and Meet the Author
Information sessions covering a range of topics are held at the libraries along with opportunities to meet your favourite authors. Please refer to the Calendar of Events for current library activities.

Nedlands Library Book Club
The Nedlands library Book Club meets at Nedlands Library on the second Thursday of each month at 1 pm. New members are welcome. Book Club sets are also available for hire if you are already a member of a book club or wish to start one. The cost of hire is $20.00 per set, and sets are loaned for 8 weeks.

Local Studies Collection
Open by appointment at the Nedlands Library. The collection is made up of unique photographs, oral histories, CD-ROMs, books, microfiche, specialised information files and a variety of printed records relating to the City. 

Books on Wheels
A free home delivery service is available to residents who are physically unable to visit the Library. Deliveries are made fortnightly on Tuesdays.

Library Bus Service
Transport to and from the Library may be arranged for seniors unable to access public transport. Tea and coffee is also provided to bus clients. The service operates fortnightly on Mondays.
