Local Studies Collection

Are you interested in people and places in the City of Nedlands?  Family trees, the history of local buildings, old school newsletters, archived letters and photographs, Nedlands memorabilia and stories - your donations and questions are all welcome at the Local Studies Collection.

This small reference library is open by appointment at Nedlands Library. It contains a unique collection of photographs, oral histories and a variety of printed records directly relating to the City.

The Local Studies Librarian can offer expert advice on relevant search databases and various other sources of information. There are reference tools available such as CD-ROMs, books, microfiche and specialised information files to assist you in locating invaluable information relating to the Nedlands Community and its history.
