Operation Identification

Borrow an electric engraver free of charge from Nedlands or Mt Claremont Library and engrave your valuables to deter theft and assist the Police to return them if lost of stolen.

Safer Seniors Sessions

For free and impartial home or business security advice, please contact the Central Metropolitan District Police on 9284 3999 to arrange a visit from a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Officer.

Eyes on the Street Campaign

A co-ordinated intelligence gathering program encouraging State Government agencies, local governments and businesses to identify and record suspicious behaviour and report it to Police.

Burglar Beware Campaign

The City of Nedlands supports the Office of Crime Prevention’s Burglar Beware campaign. This is an ongoing security awareness campaign encouraging home security improvement. Since its implementation in 2003, the number of burglaries in WA have declined at one of the fastest rates in Australia.

Child Car Restraint Fitting Service

The City offers residents a free child car restraint fitting and checking service. If you would like to have your child's restraint checked or fitted please contact the City to book an appointment.
