Important notice
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) will be held in Perth from 28 to 30 October. Some road and traffic impacts will be experienced during CHOGM due to the scale of the event and related security operation. Main Roads is working with the WA Police, the Department of Transport and the Public Transport Authority to limit disruption to the road network and road users during this period. The City works closely with our community to properly identify solutions to vehicle use in our streets that can adversely impact on the neighbourhood quality of life and safety towards residents and visitors.

Some of the key issues are:

• Identify and target traffic and parking hot spots throughout the City;
• Reduce the number and severity of accidents;
• Improve safety and convenience for pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users; and
• Improve public transport.

All traffic issues are forwarded to the Traffic Management Committee for discussion and recommendation.
