Community Citizen of the Year Awards

Held annually, the Community Citizen of the Year Awards aim to foster, recognise and celebrate significant contributions to community life and active citizenship in all local government areas of Western Australia. The awards are provided by the Australia Day Council of WA and presented by the City of Nedlands at a joint Citizenship and Awards Ceremony in January each year.

The award categories are:

  • Community Citizen of the Year
  • Young Community Citizen of the Year (under 25 on January 26)
  • Senior Community Citizen of the Year (over 65 years on January 26)
  • Active Citizenship (group or event)
