Biography

Elected to the City of Nedlands Council in October 2017

Councillor Andrew Mangano is passionate about the development of a long-term operational cost reduction strategy and governance reform. Councillor Mangano has been a key advocate for the City’s Underground Power Project, The Waratah Avenue Upgrade and Strategic Waste Reduction.

He is also focused on the protection of the City’s Garden suburb character and the Nedlands River Foreshore. Councillor Mangano is keenly interested in solar power and renewable energy as a future sustainability goal for local government. 

Councillor Mangano has over 36 years professional experience as an engineer in both the public and private sector. He has been self-employed for over 16 years and holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Deakin University.

Councillor Mangano is an active member of Friends of Point Resolution, enjoys spending time with his family, and sailing.
