Summer Concert in the Park

Every Sunday in February at a different location around the City of Nedlands. Enjoy the live music, children’s activities and food trucks.  This is a free community event. There will be a road closure on Lupin Hill Grove from Smyth Road to Quandrangle Place. ACROD parking will be available in this space. Overflow paring is available at the Hollywood Primary School oval, and access to this is available off Verdun Street which is just a short walk away from the event.  This weekend’s band is PROOF.

This weekend’s band is Decoy. Decoy is a versatile, energetic four-piece party rock band with a  reputation as a WA favourite.  Decoy has been resident at Crown Casino since 2002 and  performed with artists such as Hoodoo Gurus, Eskimo Joe and James Reyne.

This weekend’s band is Boogie Lover. Boogie Lover Band is a highly skilled group of professional musicians with percussion, horns, strings, electronics, great vocals and super tight rhythm.  This popular band brings a mix of vivid colours and electrifying sounds to pump out authentic disco hits from the 70’s, pop music from the 80’s, as well as a great selection of today’s top dance hits.

8th Annual Australia Day Picnic

Bring your family and friends down to Nedlands Yacht Club for a free interactive day of sun, sand and water! Relax on our splendid foreshore and enjoy catering from our Galley and some of Perth's best food trucks as well as the Club bar serving drinks to keep your thirst quenched.  It will be a day of fun for all ages! We will have a slip & slide and lawn games to keep the kids entertained for the afternoon while you relax (with a wine or beer in hand) and enjoy our views before the fireworks kick off. We can't wait to see you there!

Moerlina Christmas Markets

Unique, boutique, vibrant and fun, the annual Moerlina Christmas markets held on school grounds are as singular as Moerlina Primary School itself. With fun activities to entertain the kids you can enjoy the diverse wares and treats on offer. Whether it’s fresh local produce you’re after, a live Christmas conifer, special gift ideas or just some Christmas cheer, you will find it all at the Moerlina Christmas markets.

Lions Eye Institute Research Week 2019

The Lions Eye Institute is holding its inaugural Research week from Oct 21 – Oct 26.All events are free and open to the public, bookings essential.Events include eye health and research lectures, 20th anniversary Ian Constable Lecture and a tactile art exhibition created by a blind artist.These events are perfect for the entire community, especially those who want to learn more about eyes, new research developments and treatments.The Sensory Science exhibition is wonderful for everyone, especially the low vision community and kids as it is tactile.Full info and ticketing here:

2019 Walk for Mental Health

The Walk for Mental Health is being organized to promote mental health awareness within the general community and to remove the stigma associated with mental health. It is an inclusive event where people from all walks of life from various backgrounds come together for a great cause. There is a National Mental Health walk on the 20th October in each state with the focus to aspire and reach the entire nation in some way.
