Volunteers are always welcome at NCC
Volunteers are an important part of our planned activities and are an opportunity to get to know our seniors while providing additional support where needed.
Volunteer assistants or drivers are required for outings, the shopping bus, appointments or collecting clients for centre activities. Some of the activities include:
‘Take-off Tuesday’
These outings are usually day trips to places of interest around Perth. Volunteers are supported by our experienced staff and lunch is provided for volunteers.
Scenic drives
Are usually on a Friday afternoon, once a month, for a drive around the Perth suburbs with afternoon tea provided.
Shopping bus
NCC provides a shopping bus service for clients who are no longer driving and need support with shopping and getting on and off the bus. This service runs on a Thursday and Friday; also monthly on a Tuesday to local shopping centres.
Medical appointments
Assisting clients in your own vehicle (paid mileage available), to and from medical appointments.
Administration
Some administration roles may be available such as filing, shredding, maintaining databases and updating policies.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone who has spare time to spend with our lovely clients!
Please call 9386 6170 to find out about more volunteering opportunities at NCC or call the Nedlands Volunteer Resource Centre (upstairs in the Nedlands Library) on 9273 3640 or email volunteering@nedlands.wa.gov.au.
