KidSport enables eligible West Australian children aged 5-18 years old to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance of up to $150 per calendar year towards club fees.

Eligibility criteria

1. Applicant must be aged 5-18 years old.

2. Applicant must be named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with their individual Centrelink Client Reference Number (CRN) clearly displayed on the uploaded card.

3. Registration must be for a KidSport-approved club. Click here to find a club.

Application process 

You can apply for KidSport online

KidSport applications are assessed by the KidSport team at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. If an application is approved, the KidSport team will email you a voucher code (unique to the child). The code needs to be provided to the club when registering so the approved amount can be deducted from the registration or membership fees.

Information for clubs

Clubs need to register online to become a KidSport-registered club for participants to be able to join the program and claim KidSport funding. You can register as a participating club online
