We sat down with one of the owners, Corey Little to discuss his business and the impacts of COVID.

How has COVID impacted your business?
"There was a massive impact on our business.  We were shut for 7 weeks with no income. We employee 25 staff members and everyone went on unpaid leave. We managed to retain 100% of our staff during this time. Once the Job Keeper came around, 8 employees went on Job Keeper and they were able to be put to work elsewhere which included cleaning, painting, varnishing of tables, etc. This was great for team building and we were able to spruce the place up for when the time came to re-opening. There were lots of things done during this time that we would not have had time to do otherwise."

What does your business provide for the community?
"We are a café in the morning, and a bar/restaurant from lunch time onwards. Our main business includes functions including weddings, birthdays, engagements, baptisms, etc. We offer a range of function spaces. We are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 7.30am til late. We close at 3.30pm on a Sunday."

How did you start your business, and how long have you had the business?
"Our business has been open for just over 3 years.  The business is run by a set of twin brothers, Corey and Adrian. It is the first time we have had a business together; however, we are both from a hospitality background."
