National Broadband Network (NBN) Fibre Links WA - Cottesloe Exchange To Wembley Exchange

nbn co ltd (nbn) is a licensed telecommunications carrier and is currently overseeing the upgrade of Australia’s telecommunications network (the nbn™ network). The
nbn™ network is an upgrade to Australia’s existing telecommunications network, providing the infrastructure for affordable, high-speed internet and phone access for all Australians.

City of Nedlands has received a Notification of Works (NOW) from Visionstream who have been engaged by nbn to undertake works in the City of Nedlands, as part of the construction of the National Broadband Network.

Survey and Inspection activities will include:
•          Survey activities;
•          Proving and roping of conduit;
•          Photographing
•          Inspect pits/manholes
•          Minor hand digging to expose pit lids
•          Minor digging and clearing of blockages in existing Telstra conduit

Land Location: Narla Rd Swanbourne WA, Alfred Rd, Rochdale Rd,
Stephenson Av Mount Claremont WA and Underwood Av Floreat WA [as
illustrated on the attached “figure 1”].

Project Activity: Undertake inspection of land in accordance with Division 2,
Schedule 3 of the Telecommunications Act 1997.

Dates proposed to enter property to start and finish activity:

Anticipated effect:
• Minimal disruption to pedestrian traffic is anticipated.
• Minimal disruption to vehicular traffic is anticipated.
• Limited disturbance to ground surface material expected resulting from proposed activities.

Proposed remediation:
• After installation all areas to be filled graded and land surfaces levelled to a condition similar to its condition before the activity began.
• Traffic Control/management plan to ensure safe and adequate flows (if required).
• Minor civil remediation work.
