It was hat’s off at the City of Nedlands’ Affinity Club for over 55’s, as members of the club rallied to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The Affinity Club was started in April 2012 as part of the Positive Ageing Program at Nedlands Community Care in Waratah Avenue.
According to current Community Services Officer, Marita Gardener, the Affinity Club started with Yoga, Laughter Yoga and a walking group called the Waratah Walkers, but has since grown to include activities such as ukulele classes, Pilates, pole walking and choir.
“The Affinity Club is a great place to meet people, exercise and learn new things,” Marita said.
“We are delighted to have so many happy, energetic members and our calendar of events has activities running Monday to Friday.”
