The City of Nedlands in partnership with the Swanbourne Coastal Alliance and the Western Australian Planning Commission’s Coastwest Grants Program is implementing a greenway corridor project that aims to increase the bushland areas within Allen Park and improve ecological linkages by converting degraded areas to coastal shrublands.
5300 local provenance species were installed during the winter months and invasive weeds are being controlled across the site. This project will assist the City to control environmental weeds as well as increase habitat and improve ecological corridors within the coastal zone.
