Correction to WSW article regarding increase to rates

The City wishes to correct an article in the 24 June 2021 edition of Western Suburbs Weekly titled 'Councils plan to increase rates'.

Councillors agreed at Tuesday's Ordinary Council Meeting to advertise for public comment:

• Increase of 1.5% in the rate in the dollar for residential properties
• Increase of 1.5% in the rate in the dollar for non-residential properties
• Increase of 10% in the rate in the dollar for vacant residential properties

The differential rates categories for Residential, Residential Vacant and Non-Residential for 2021/22 are proposed as:  

Electors and ratepayers of the City of Nedlands are invited to submit their comments on the above rates in writing by 5pm, Sunday 18 July 2021.
