It was smiles all ‘round at the City of Nedlands’ Community Care (NCC) this week, as much-loved member Marion Woods celebrated her 100th birthday.
Marion credits exercise as an important contributor to her good health and longevity.
“My family were always keen tennis players and my parents played golf well into their old age,” Marion said.
“I never underestimate my good fortune in being able to come to the Waratah Club. They take time to listen, provide activities and care and always make you feel welcome.
“Without this service, I would probably just be sitting at home feeling a bit lonely.”
Marion shared her birthday with friends from the NCC Waratah Club and other members, many of whom are in their eighties and nineties.
