Spring into action with a bloomin’ good day out

Join the friends of Allen Park for a bushwalk on 1 September.

Mark 1 and 9 September in your diaries and get back to nature at Allen Park and Hollywood Reserve with Bushcare’s Major Days Out.

From 9am-11am, 1 September, the Friends of Allen Park are inviting people to join them for a bushwalk along a section of the Whadjuk Trail Network.

It’s a chance to enjoy wildflowers, birdlife and ocean views while walking a section of the Bush to Beach Trail from Jones Park – the north-eastern end of Allen Park bushland – down to Swanbourne Beach.

The group will meet at Jones Park, near Jameson and Hooley Streets, Swanbourne, at 9am. Morning tea will be provided at 10.30am at Swanbourne Beach.

Participants are advised to wear closed-in shoes, sunscreen and a hat and bring a water bottle.

Up to 20 RSVPs will be accepted – call 0428 294 876 or email jhe74786@bigpond.net.au.

The Friends of Hollywood Reserve are calling for people, including families, to join them from 9am-12pm, 9 September, to do some weeding, go on a spring wildflower tour and enjoy morning tea.

They should meet at the parkland area near the Perth War Cemetery on Smyth Road, Nedlands, and bring sturdy shoes, sun protection and some water.
