While growing up on the family farm in the Western Australian wheatbelt, with her grandparents’ artwork proudly mounted on the walls, Stephanie Boyle had no idea her own paintings would one day be exhibited around the world.

Forty years later, Stephanie’s watercolour and acrylic paintings have been selected for many state, national and international exhibitions including the 21st European Watercolour Exhibition and Symposium in Krakow, Poland.

Stephanie’s exhibition ‘Time Will Tell’ is currently showing at the Tresillian Arts Centre until 24 June and is her first solo exhibition in many years. With content ideas gathered during her extensive travel within Australia and abroad, this eclectic collection of work also includes a number of striking abstracts.

From the vibrant colours of the Pilbara to the wilds of Africa and the gentle light of wheatbelt landscapes ‘en plein air’, Stephanie has an eye for detail and a unique style. But, take a deep breath as you enter the main gallery at Tresillian where Stephanie’s bold and exciting abstracts may knock you off your feet.

In addition to working on her own paintings, Stephanie teaches watercolour at Tresillian Arts Centre and previously taught at the Claremont School of Art. She regularly conducts workshops throughout Western Australia and overseas with a highlight being a demonstration to members of the Italian Association of Watercolourists in Alessandria, Italy.

The ‘Time Will Tell’ exhibition runs until 24 June 2022 at Tresillian Arts Centre, Tyrell Street, Nedlands. Gallery is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. Also open Sundays 12 and 19 June, 11am to 2pm when visitors can meet the artist. For more details, please call 9389 1977.
