Nedlands Summer Concert brings boogie to the burbs

Follow the crowd to Mason Gardens, Dalkeith on Sunday, 9 February 2020 for a free summer concert sponsored by the City of Nedlands, Lotterywest, hub residential and WA Road Safety Commission.

Marking the 23rd year of these ever-popular summer entertainment evenings, Perth’s top dance band Boogie Lover will have you up and dancing in no time.

This highly charged group of professional musicians and vocalists will deliver a mix of authentic 70’s and 80’s disco through to today’s latest dance hits.

Mayor Cilla de Lacy says the Summer Concerts began in 1997 as an opportunity for locals to enjoy WA’s warm summer evenings listening to quality music.

“Since then, the concerts have proved so successful they’re now a much-loved summer activity we look forward to every year,” Ms de Lacy said.

The free concerts are being held each Sunday in February – 16 February at Allen Park in Swanbourne and 23 February at Dot Bennett Park Nedlands.

“Last week’s concert in Floreat was a great success with guests taking advantage of the opportunity to catch up with family and friends in a fun environment.  There’s plenty of activities for children too.”
