The State Government needs your help to find European wasps in our City!
European wasp is considered one of the world’s worst and most aggressive wasp species, with summer to autumn being considered the best time to locate nests.
The European wasp’s distinctive features include that it is drawn to fish and meat, have black antennae, have shorter legs that are raised during flight, and can be seen flying in and out of a hole in the ground – the entry to their nest.
If you see something that makes you wonder, don’t second guess – contact 9368 3080, via mypestguide.agric.wa.gov.au or email padis@dpird.wa.gov.au . Do not attempt to destroy it – this will be done free of charge.
