City of Nedlands announces Keri Shannon as CEO
The City of Nedlands is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Keri Shannon as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), for a term of five (5) years.
Ms Shannon brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a distinguished career as a high performing corporate executive spanning over two decades in various leadership positions.
Ms Shannon holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and a Graduate Diploma in Local Government, and her professional career encompasses significant roles in legal and corporate governance, reinforcing her strong commitment to the administrative and operational needs of a local government.
City of Nedlands Mayor Fiona Argyle congratulated Ms Shannon on her appointment saying she is an asset to the City.
Mayor Argyle who was the chair of the selection and recruitment committee, said of the 108 applications Ms Shannon is the best person for the job.
“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the City of Nedlands. I believe Ms Shannon will thrive as the CEO and I wish her all the best.”
