Local Business

The City of Nedlands is home to an established community of more than 500 local businesses.

The City is committed to supporting its local businesses and recognises the role they play in linking, sustaining and strengthening our community.

Hosting two business sundowners a year has become a tradition at the City, providing the perfect opportunity to meet with, hear about and promote the good work local business owners are doing. The City’s sundowners are also a relaxed networking forum to connect with the Mayor, Councillors, senior staff and other local businesspeople. The sundowners are held in May and November of each year.

The City of Nedlands is a member of the Western Suburbs Business Association, a not-for-profit organisation that connects and represents business people across the western suburbs.
