The Deaf Community Markets consists of Deaf stallholders and business owners, Deaf hobbiests and craftmakers, Deaf artist, and Auslan friendly organisations. In addition to the stalls on offer are a range of family friendly activities including play activities and games The Deaf Community Markets are an opportunity to showcase Deaf business owners, hobbiests and craftmakers, owners of micro-businesses, Deaf artists and Auslan friendly organisations and more. The markets provide Deaf stallholders opportunities to network, promote, and market their business in a Deaf friendly environment using Auslan, the language of the Australian Deaf community. It also enables community members to purchase items from Deaf businesses which platforms Deaf talent and supports the Deaf Ecosystem as well as enables the customer to engage with a product and business in their first language.
