Paul Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Nedlands, bringing more than 10 years’ experience as a Local Government CEO across metropolitan, regional and rapidly growing communities in Western Australia.
Paul joined the City of Nedlands in August 2026 following seven years as Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of York for 3.5 years.
Although starting work in Community and Economic Development, throughout his local government career, Paul has developed extensive experience in organisational leadership, financial management, governance, and organisational improvement.
At the City of Nedlands, Paul is focused on strengthening organisational performance and governance, improving long term financial sustainability, improving relationships with stakeholders and the community and delivering quality services for ratepayers.
Paul leads the organisation supporting a great team and works closely with Mayor Leonie Browner, Elected Members, community stakeholders and other levels of government to deliver upon the City's strategic priorities and future direction.
