I grew up in a strong rural community and I understand the importance of healthy, connected communities.
During the decade I have lived in the Coastal Ward with my family I have engaged in our community and with our City, and I have seen why local government matters.
I have advocated, co-ordinated and negotiated with the City during some challenging times. I have helped identify new funding and collaboration opportunities. My local group, the Melon Hill Bushcare Group, was the 2024 Active Volunteer of the Year. It is currently working with the City to deliver a federal grant.
My close engagement, backed by my legal background and governance and dispute resolution experience means I am ready to get straight to work on our many challenges.
We need high functioning, open and straightforward local government to support our communities. If elected, I will work constructively and independently towards a council that can concentrate on forward looking solutions.
