Leonie Browner

Leonie Browner is an experienced public sector and community leader with a proven record of improving governance, accountability and organisational performance. Over more than two decades, she has held senior roles across government, the community and private sectors, including the Office of the Auditor General, the Department of Treasury, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Economic Regulation Authority.

Leonie has led reviews and policy reforms that strengthened transparency, improved service delivery and supported local communities. Her leadership at the Economic Regulation Authority and Treasury advanced better regulation and economic outcomes for Western Australians.

She has also contributed her skills to community sector organisations, guiding organisations through periods of renewal and improving workplace culture.

Leonie brings a collaborative and balanced approach to leadership — valuing good governance, environmental sustainability and respectful community engagement. With a career grounded in public accountability and practical problem-solving, she is well-placed to lead Nedlands with integrity and a focus on the long-term interests of residents.

Leonie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and First Class Honours (Economics).
