Artist's Statement
The playful figures in my artwork mean love, land, peace and freedom. The two dogs represent loyalty. The dogs on top of the chairs are excited, and they are ready to hug the man who us a friend to them.
Artwork Description
This sculpture stands over four meters tall in the Carrington Park dog play area. An abstracted figure of a man, cast from dark, silicon bronze, balances upon three chairs with two dogs jumping up at either side of him. All three figures sit atop a stainless steel mounted granite plinth, on front of which is a gold plaque.
Acquisition Details
This artwork was completed in 2015, and purchased by the City of Nedlands from Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2018.
