Elected to the City of Nedlands Council in October 2021.
Councillor Hengameh Amiry is committed to supporting strong governance and environmental leadership in the City of Nedlands. Councillor Amiry is a passionate advocate for maintaining the multigenerational residential character of the city by enhancing community amenities and protecting its natural heritage including the tree canopy and the open spaces.
She believes collaboration with neighbouring Western Suburbs councils is critical to the success of complementary alignment in this space.
Councillor Amiry has over twenty-five years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry both in Australia and Internationally. She holds a degree in engineering and a Master of Business Administration with her experience spanning across multiple disciplines.
Councillor Amiry enjoys regular walks along the Nedlands Foreshore, Allen Park and Mount Claremont oval with her kelpi Princess Leia.
