2026 Extraordinary Election – Have Your Say!
The City of Nedlands will hold an extraordinary section 4.13 postal election on Saturday, 28 March 2026. This election will fill vacancies for the Mayor (district) and Councillors across the Melvista, Dalkeith, and Hollywood wards.
All eligible electors living in areas where an election is being held will receive a postal voting package. This is your opportunity to help shape the City’s future—make your vote count.

Voting Information
Postal Voting Packages
Postal voting packages will be mailed to all enrolled electors in wards where an election is occurring.
If you do not receive your package, or if any materials are missing, you can collect a replacement during business hours:

Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5pm
Completed postal voting packages must be received by the Returning Officer by 6pm, Saturday 28 March 2026.
Hand Delivery on Election Day
You may hand‑deliver your completed postal voting papers or obtain a replacement package at the following locations on election day:

8am–6pm
Other Polling Place

Counting of Votes
Counting will commence after 6pm at:

The Western Australian Electoral Commission (Level 2, 66 St Georges Terrace, Perth) may also be used for electronic counting.
