Today marked an important milestone with the signing of an Access Licence and Maintenance Agreement with Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation (PCHF) Hospice Limited, along with a related agreement with the West Australian Bridge Club, to support the construction and long‑term maintenance of the Swanbourne Parkland associated with the Sandcastles (Boodja Mia) Children’s Hospice.

Deputy Mayor Jenny Matthews and PCHF Chair Ian Campbell jointly signed the agreements, strengthening the relationship between the City and the Hospice as this partnership continues to grow.

The agreements pave the way for construction of the Swanbourne Parkland, a key part of the Sandcastles (Boodja Mia) Children's Hospice development. This includes the planting of more than 7,000 natives to transform the land into a green coastal sanctuary – providing an accessible, welcoming, and nature-rich environment for patients, families, and the wider community.
