The City of Nedlands thanks all those who completed the MARKYT Community Scorecard and participated in the community workshops. The community’s input is incredibly valuable in shaping the vision for service delivery in the City of Nedlands.

The City of Nedlands commissioned CATALYSE, a Perth-based research consultancy firm, to launch the MARKYT Community Scorecard. The consultation period ran from the 27th of March through to the 14th of April 2023. Scorecard invitations were sent to every household and residential PO Boxes in the city, as well as to the City’s customer contacts. Four Community workshops were also held in June 2023.

The last time the community had the opportunity to rate the City’s services and facilities was in 2016, where 435 responses were received. In 2023, the City received feedback from 1,656 community members.

CEO Bill Parker said, “The City is delighted with the response rate achieved when compared to previous years. Participation increased by almost fourfold”.

“This feedback provides an opportunity to focus the City’s efforts in the areas important to the community. It also provides reassurance that recent endeavours to protect the City’s tree canopy and limit building heights on Stirling Highway are appropriate and timely.”

All results in are being incorporated into the development of new Council Plan over the next few months and the City looks forward to sharing this information towards the end of 2023.
