The City of Nedlands will be undertaking drainage upgrade works within Cormorant Lane to improve the local drainage network.
The works will be undertaken by Comex Civil and are scheduled to commence on Monday, 22 June 2026. The works are expected to take approximately five business days to complete and are expected to be finished by Friday, 26 June 2026, subject to weather, site conditions and service locations.
Works will generally be undertaken between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
During the works, a section of Cormorant Lane will be temporarily closed during construction hours for the first two days of works, as shown on the attached plan. Following this, the construction team will continue with the remaining works and will make every effort to maintain access to the lane and assist residents with navigating around the work area. This temporary closure is required to allow the works to be completed safely due to excavation activities and the use of plant and equipment.
Traffic management will be in place to assist residents, road users and the construction crew. The contractor will make reasonable efforts to maintain driveway access for residents within the work area where it is safe and practical to do so. However, short delays or temporary driveway access restrictions may occur during excavation, pipe installation or reinstatement works directly in front of properties. Traffic controllers will assist residents where possible.
To assist with the safe and efficient delivery of the works, residents are requested to avoid parking within the work area during construction hours where possible. This will assist with the safe movement of plant and equipment and help reduce the risk of driveway access being affected.
The City apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause and appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important drainage upgrade works are completed.
