Tresillian Art Centre was abuzz with activity as family, friends and supporters attended the City of Nedlands’ Emerge Youth Art Awards Exhibition on Saturday 25 July.
This popular annual Award attracted 164 outstanding entries this year, with the following winners chosen by judges Robert Gear, Jana Vodesil-Baruffi and Charlotte Robinson:
Award Winners
• Resident’s Award First Prize – Silver Linings by Miriam Sekendy
• Resident’s Award Commendation – Nature Chews On Me by Ella Byfield
• Under 18 Award First Prize – Sunhat Shadows, Crayon Heart by Zoe Williamson
• Open Award Commendation – Wagin Railway Crossing by Casey Jacobs
• Open Award First Prize – The Lonely Stoner Seems To Free His Mind At Night by Laura Provan
Judge’s Special Mentions

All entries will be on exhibition until 21 August with visitors encouraged to vote for their favourite in the People’s Choice Award. Tresillian Art Centre is open Monday – Fri 9am – 4pm and Sunday’s 1pm – 4pm.
