Dalkeith Primary School students braved the cold winds coming over the Swan River to plant native seedlings at Point Resolution Bushland Reserve on Friday 28 July for Schools Tree Day.

“Planet Ark’s Schools Tree Day is a great opportunity for the City to engage with local students and learn the importance of environmental conservation,” City of Nedlands CEO Bill Parker said.

“Students are able to discover firsthand the importance of protecting our native habitats and wildlife, while the City continues to deliver on enhancing our natural areas.”

Dalkeith Primary School students planted about 920 native seedlings, with help from the Friends of Point Resolution, and City staff.

Native seedlings planted on Schools Tree Day will help to restore the bushland, prevent future erosion, and provide more habitat for our local fauna.
