Western Power has appointed Perth-based civil contractor Tracc Civil to deliver the high-voltage (HV) feeder cable works supporting the redevelopment of St John of Gold Hospital Subiaco. These works are essential to meet the future energy needs of the hospital’s expanded facilities.
Impact
The majority of works will affect residents in the City of Subiaco, with minimal impact in the City of Nedlands and some in the Town of Cambridge.
Please refer to the map below.
Timeline (indicative)
The overall construction timeline period is expected to take approximately six months. Please note that the timeline below is indicative, and may change.
- January 2026: Start at the Shenton Park substation (Lonnie Street, Daglish), anticipated commencement in the third week of January.
- January – February 2026: Stubbs Terrace (daylight hours).
- February – March 2026: Subiaco, between Hay Street & Cambridge Street.
- April – May 2026: Cambridge Street.
Dilapidation surveys
In the next week, residents south of Hay Street will receive a letter from Tracc Civil with details on how they can request a dilapidation survey. This survey is being offered to residents on both sides of the cable route. Residents and occupants along the rest of the route (north of Hay Street) will also be offered dilapidation in due course, as the works progress.
