The City has recently identified littering and vandalism in Shenton Park Bushland, including a pit dug into the bushland and items abandoned on site.
These actions cause harm to the bushland environment and threaten native plants and wildlife that depend on these areas for shelter, food and nesting. Shenton Park Bushland is a protected and environmentally sensitive area, and even small disturbances can have lasting impacts.
To help protect this important natural asset, the City asks all residents and visitors to remain on designated paths at all times and not enter bushland areas. Staying on paths helps prevent damage to vegetation, reduces erosion, and protects wildlife habitats.
Any illegal or suspicious activity in bushland areas should be reported to the City’s Rangers or Environmental Conservation Officer on (08) 9273 3500.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to protect our bushland for the benefit of the whole community.
