The City of Nedlands is calling for enthusiastic community members to join its dedicated team of volunteers and help support some of our most valued residents.
If you enjoy getting out and about, meeting new people, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older community members, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.
We are currently seeking volunteers for several important roles within our Positive Ageing and Library programs:
- Volunteer Shopping Bus Driver – Positive Ageing Program
- Volunteer Shopping Bus Assistant – Positive Ageing Program
- Volunteer Library Bus Driver – Nedlands Library Service
- Volunteer Library Bus Assistant – Nedlands Library Service
These services play a vital role in helping seniors maintain independence, social connection, and access to essential activities. Volunteer drivers and assistants work together to ensure older residents can attend their weekly library visits and shopping trips safely and comfortably.
Volunteers receive full support from City staff and become part of a friendly, community‑minded team committed to enhancing the wellbeing of local seniors.
Community members interested in volunteering or learning more about the roles are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible.
