The cast bronze statue is of a young boy holding his fishing rod. The boy is life-size and sits on a limestone wall within the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space. He has an excited expression on his face, as if he is reeling in a fish. His demeanor matches the playful and carefree purpose of the All Abilities Play Space.

Acquisition Details

This work was selected and purchased by Rotary in 2018, for the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space in Dalkeith. The Play Space is the result of a collaboration between the City of Nedlands and the Rotary Clubs of Nedlands, Subiaco and West Perth with other partners including Inclusion WA, COLAB, Wood & Grieve Engineers, Lotterywest and Department of Communities – Disability Services.
