2026 Extraordinary Election - Notice of Results

The City of Nedlands congratulates its newly elected Mayor and Councillors.

Following the Extraordinary Election held Saturday 28 March 2026, the City is pleased to welcome:

  • Mayor Leonie Browner – Term end 20 October 2029
  • Councillor Eliza Clapin – Coastal Ward – Term end 20 October 2029
  • Councillor Stephen Kobelke – Coastal Ward – Term end 16 October 2027
  • Councillor Rachel Kristensen – Hollywood Ward – Term end 20 October 2029
  • Councillor Glenn Ruscoe – Hollywood Ward – Term end 16 October 2027
  • Councillor Julian Coleman – Melvista Ward – Term end 20 October 2029
  • Councillor Rebecca Coghlan – Melvista Ward – Term end 16 October 2027
  • Councillor Jenny Mathews – Dalkeith Ward – Term end 20 October 2029
  • Councillor Charles Pan – Dalkeith Ward – Term end 16 October 2027

The City thanks all candidates – Fergus Bennett, Anthony Von Leonhardi, Ian Robinson, Dada Su, Henry Kemp, Benedict Hodsdon, Helen Grzyb, and Rajah Senathirajah for putting themselves forward to represent our community.

The new Mayor and Councillors were sworn in at a ceremony held Wednesday 1 April 2026, which marked the beginning of the new Council term, with elected members committing to serve the community with honesty and integrity and to work together in the best interests of the City.

We look forward to the leadership, collaboration and dedication of the new Council as they begin their term serving the community.
