Damaged asbestos fence, north side of Campsie Park, Nedlands - Replacement scheduled

The City of Nedlands has been alerted to a damaged section of asbestos fence dividing City property, Campsie Park, and the properties adjoining, notably the northside properties on Aberdare Road, Nedlands.
Based on environmental health testing and recommendations, the City proposes to remove existing fencing, on the Northern side of the park, and replace it with a 1.8m high Colorbond™ fence.
The City has scheduled these works to be undertaken on Thursday 27th November 2025 (weather permitting). These works will be carried out following all safety guidelines required by the WA Department of Health. Upon completion of works the City will organise a comprehensive inspection. We recommend that the public do not enter the park during these works.
The remainder of the fencing has been identified as requiring sealing in the near future, but does not warrant immediate replacement.
